Filmer del 1

Asiatiska filmer jag gillar, och varmt rekommenderar.

Uppdateringar kommer imorgon.

Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World (Japan 2004)

(imdb) In 1980s Kyushu, two teenagers fell in love, and exchanged their secrets and thoughts by way of sending tape recordings to each other. More than a decade later, the boy (now grown-up and bittered) rediscovers the last recording of his long-dead lover's voice. Her words trigger a series of flashbacks illustrating the joyful beginning and tragic end of their relationship.

Mycket bra film. Inte för mkt melodrama som i majoriteten av asiatiska filmer. Vackert skildrad skiftandes mellan då- och nutid.

Betyg: 7,5 av 10 sojabönor.

A Moment to Remember (Sydkorea 2004)
(imdb) Beautiful Su-jun (Son Ye-jin), cossested by her devoted father, meets Chol-su (Jung Woo-sung) a carpenter in her father's employment. They meet, fall in love and marry, but their picture perfect life become less perfect when they discover that Su-jin has Alzheimer's disease.

Ett mästerverk. Se den.

Betyg: 9,5 av 10 sojabönor.

Taegukgi: Brotherhood of War (Sydkorea 2004)
(imdb) A group of Korean archeologists find a skeleton and identify it as Lee Jin-Seok. But Lee Jin-Seok is still alive and he is now an old man. It is his brother Jin-Tae who went missing in the Korean War. We travel from the present to 1950, when the Korean War started. Jin-Seok and Jin-Tae, Jin-Seok's brother, are young men who suddenly find themselves catapulted into a bloody world so different from their quiet, rural lives. As the war progresses, the war begins to poison Jin-Tae's mind. Jin-Seok is lost when he finds that he no longer knows who his brother is.

Gripande film om bröders kärlek i krig. Vacker skildring som inte glorifierar någonting i krig överhuvudtaget.

Betyg: 9 av 10 krigsbönor.
